Controller and Processor responsibility for data purposes, and the person to whom enquiries should be directed is Mr A.Howlett.

At ‘DSL’, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our company and web site. You should know that we DO NOT sell, rent or trade email lists or indeed any other company information with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. To emphasise our approach to privacy, our Privacy Notice provides details on the very limited basis upon which we collect any personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

We only gather personal information sufficient to fulfil orders placed directly with us, or when placing orders ourselves. This will be in the form of email communications and delivery details. That’s all!

The Lawful basis for doing this is when the gathering of personal data is necessary: to fulfil contractual obligations; or because we have been asked to do something before entering into a contract (e.g. provide a quote).

The information comes from the person concerned only, and is processed by DSL in order to complete the transaction only. Personal data is collected only where there is a contractual obligation to do so.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, e.g. for accounting requirements, resolving disputes and contractual obligations.

- **Security of personal information**

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password and firewall-protected) servers, and ultra-secure hardware encrypted drives.

- **Your Rights**

We respect your right to access, correct, request deletion or request restriction of the usage of your personal information as required by applicable law. As stated, we will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, e.g. for accounting requirements, resolving disputes and contractual obligations.

You have the right to know what personal information we maintain about you.

We will provide you with a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format if you request.

If your personal information is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to update it.

You also have the right to object to our processing of your personal information.

You can also ask us to delete or restrict how we use your personal information, as required by applicable law. This may impact upon your access to some of our Services.

You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information will be subject to:

(a) The payment of a fee (currently fixed at £25.00); and

(b) The supply of appropriate evidence of your identity (for this purpose, we will usually accept a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address).

We may withhold such personal information to the extent permitted by law. Where you have a statutory right to request access or request the modification or erasure of your personal information, we can still withhold that access or decline to modify or erase your personal information in some cases in accordance with applicable national laws. Make your request if you wish to exercise any of the above rights using the contact details above.

Individuals have a right to complain to the ICO if they think there is a problem with the way we are handling their data, and can initiate complaints with courts of the appropriate Member State and with the supervisory authority of the Member State where they reside, where they work, or where the reported infringement occurred.

We do not share personal information beyond the requirements necessary to fulfil a contract – i.e.

- to fulfil orders and to obtain goods from our suppliers in order to do that
- provide carriers with the necessary delivery details. We may need to pass your information to postal services / courier companies.
- If you make a warranty claim, we may need to pass your information to the warranty providers
- We may use your personal information to deal with enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to our website or service issues

(a) To the extent that we are required to do so by law;

(b) In connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings;

(c) In order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk);

(d) To the purchaser (or prospective purchaser) of any business or asset that we are (or are contemplating) selling; and

(e) To any person who we reasonably believe may apply to a court or other competent authority for disclosure of that personal information where, in our reasonable opinion, such court or authority would be reasonably likely to order disclosure of that personal information.

Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.

- **Security of your personal information**

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password- and firewall- protected) servers.
